Going to the Canary Islands you need to rent one of the unique villas in Tenerife. Staying in a big resort is a mistake. Point. Or maybe exclamation mark! Yes, staying in a big resort when traveling to Tenerife is a mistake!

Tenerife as an island has a very special vibe, it just feels exotic while still being in Europe. But to really experience this exotic vibe you can’t stay in a touristy place where they serve American or German or English breakfast… No, no, no, you need to immerse yourself in banana plantations, chase palm trees, and black sand beaches, climb volcanos & catch ocean waves.

That’s why I have created for you a list of 20 best villas in Tenerife to rent on your next holiday. This is the ultimate list of villas for rent in Tenerife that offers you both luxury & seclusion.

My experience staying at luxury villas in Tenerife vs at the luxury hotel

During my 5 day trip to Tenerife (you can read here about all the cool things I did and ate), I stayed both in luxury villas as well as a 4-star hotel. I know, I probably shouldn’t compare this experience as it is like comparing day & night, but staying in villas in Tenerife was really so much more fun for me.

I feel like I explored the history, culture, and day-to-day life of Tenerifians so much more than when I was staying in a hotel in Puerto de la Cruz.

5-days-in-tenerife-be-tenerife-pool

Yes, villas in Tenerife are not for everyone. You need to like seclusion, you need to like nature, you need to like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean & picking up bananas from your own banana plantation.

But if that’s what you are looking for on your vacations then the villa is the best place to stay in Tenerife for you!

20 best villas for rent in Tenerife

Β Villa El Risco,Β Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas by Be Tenerife

I stayed just two short days in Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas & I was immediately craving more.Β Β Hacienda cuatro Ventanas is an old Canarian house of the XVII century located in the most emblematic area of the north coast of Tenerife, 200 meters from the famous beach β€œEl Socorro”.

It was completely restored to give it all the comforts of a superior accommodation but without altering its unique architecture and its native environment. The Hacienda is divided into 6 independent villas: Villa San Andres, Villa El Mirador, Villa El Patio, Villa Casa Carmen, and Villa La Bodega.

Villa El Risco is one bedroom villa with a privileged location, very close to the tropical garden and the pool. Its design and relaxing tones do not distract from the really important thing: the fabulous sunset!

Villa San Andres,Β Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas by Be Tenerife

Villa San Andres is a large suite with two double bedrooms. Its classic style decoration features antique pieces of great value, 6 meters ceilings height and wooden floors.

Villa El Mirador,Β Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas by Be Tenerife

Villa El Mirador is located in a privileged area of the hacienda, it has a terrace viewpoint from which to take a look at the coast and the banana plantations that surround the property.

Decorated following the traditional classic style of the island, with interesting antiques, it has two bedrooms and a capacity for four people.

Villa El Patio,Β Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas by Be Tenerife

Villa El Patio is a one-bedroom villa with a contemporary design located in the center of the resort. It has direct access to the quietest and most charming corners of the Hacienda and is surrounded by tropical plants.

Villa Casa Carmen,Β Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas by Be Tenerife

Villa Casa Carmen is a 2 people villa. Contemporary touches surprise the touches of color that enliven the stay. It has a beautiful private garden with a variety of heliconia plants.

Villa La Bodega,Β Hacienda Cuatro Ventanas by Be Tenerife

Villa La Bodega is a 2 people villa located in the former warehouse of the Hacienda. Restored with industrial air in the purest style of a New York loft, it has ingenious decorative solutions inspired by the materials and rigs used in the winery activity that originally developed in situ.

Its spacious bedroom has a spectacular headboard made by hand with vine branches of the island.

Hacienda Soccorro by Be Tenerife

Hacienda Soccorro was our first villa in Tenerife and we completely loved it. My favorite part was the location – on the edge of a cliff! Its privileged location offers views comparable to a sail boat in the open sea! Falling asleep to the sound of an ocean is a huge plus of this villa!

Once you step outside, the tropical garden, mainly the banana plantation, and the pool are the main protagonists. I enjoyed picking ripe bananas from my own garden and starting my day with a healthy breakfast by the pool!

The property is divided into two different villas in Tenerife. Villa El Arenal is la 2 people villa located on the upper floor, while Villa Aliseos is a 2 people villa located on the lower floor.

Each has a large master bedroom, with high ceilings and wooden floors, and two window viewpoints with endless ocean views. The privileged location of these properties, on the first line of a natural black sand beach, is by itself a claim.

Hacienda El Cardon by Be Tenerife

Hacienda El Cardon – a synthesis of nature, traditional architecture of an XVII Century Canarian Hacienda, and ocean landscape.

Located at the coastline of the natural reserve of “Barranco Ruiz” in San Juan de La Rambla, in the heart of an ecological banana plantation.

5-days-in-tenerife-

The Hacienda has been split into two separate villas (Villa Atlantico & Villa Plantacion) totally equipped, each with a unique perspective on the rugged landscape.

Its fresh style together with its open spaces makes it the perfect place for lovers of contemporary design. Immense palm trees decorate the back of the house. In the background, the sound of the ocean serves as a soundtrack for long table talk.Β

El Jardin de la Papa by Be Tenerife

In the heart of a banana plantation and along a beautiful stretch of deep blue shoreline lies a private and spacious property that has been transformed into a secluded tropical paradise. This luxury gem is in one of the most beautiful parts of the north coast of Tenerife.

El Jardin de la Palapa is an ideal spot for guests looking for an intimate experience within untouched natural surroundings.

The property is divided into 3 houses:Β Main House. 180 m2; Veranda House 100 m2; Conservatory House 60 m2
